the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial  pays tribute to the American Civil Rights leader of the 1960s. Mr. King imagined racial equality and urged citizens to use nonviolent actions to protest the unfair treatment of African American citizens.

 This museum houses over 126 million specimens of plants, animals, fossils, minerals, rocks, and cultural artifacts. It is also home to 185 natural history scientists- the largest group of this type of scientist in the world.
