"For God so loved the world that He gave..." (John 3:16a, NASB) Without question, a person can give without loving. It happens all the time. People give to be noticed. People give with political intentions in mind. Some people give out of a guilty conscience, and so forth. However, there's no way a person can truly love another without giving. The Lord has created us in such a way that we most express love for another by giving. This is derived from being created in His image. For our God is a God who gives.
While the coronavirus has kept all of us from meeting together physically, the needs and expenses of ministry at Minerva First Christian Church haven't gone away. In order to respond to the situation, we have made arrangements for online giving. We ask that you still express your love for the Lord, His people, and His Church by generously giving with a joyful heart during this peculiar time. Thank you so much. While we are separated during this time, let us continue to pursue unity by prayer, digital communication, and giving freely!
"The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
- II Corinthians 9:6-7
